If they imprison then advertise big big, then I think the main goal is to warn lo.
Afterall, I think Singapore policy ish like that.
Police also say :Prevention is better than cure
So technically, he did nothing particularly offensive to receive such a harsh sentence.
But in the eyes of Singapore, something drastic could happen due to him not reporting.
Even though nothing happened, guess they're not taking chances.
I guess that's my point of view. =D
